I am very impressed with the Makita impact driver. I have already used it for several abusive projects and it has exceeded my expectations. It is very light and battery life is excellent. Controls feel comfortable. The Drill is an embarrassment for Makita. It does look, feel and sound like a quality Makita product, but the run-out on the chuck is horrible, and this was just removed from the box. The only reason I did not return it is because I essentially only paid $40 for the drill since the kit price was so reasonable. It appears to be a $40 drill.
