Does what it is designed to do.
After spending countless hours on the internet reading many reviews, this is the dust collector I bought. Although I did not buy it from Amazon I thought this review would help others currently in the market. I got mine from Woodcraft for $299. I think Lowes and Home Depot can get them also. Do a little shopping and then turn companies against each other by price matching. You'll save about 10% off your lowest price. Back to the actual review.

I talked to the guys at Woodcraft. They advised it would be an excellent garage shop DC. But don't expect to put a 20ft 4" hose on it and get great collection. It's designed for a 10ft 4" hose. That doesn't sound like a lot, but I can put the DC in the center of my garage and reach all four corners.

As far as the noise level 60-70 decibels. A normal conversation between two adults is 60dB. Just remember for every 3dB increase you double the sound level. An 80dB collector is going to be at least 3 times louder...
