Before buying this drill in September 2011, I researched drills in Consumer Reports . At that time, their last test of drills had been done in November 2009, and only one light use drill was listed. I didn't like it much, but was ready to settle for it. Then I saw this one at a Home Depot store, and liked it much better. I found it as a reconditioned product, on Amazon. The price couldn't be beat, so I bought it and have been well pleased. CR now has a current test that includes 11 light use drills, but not this one, in the December 2011 issue. I'd still buy this one. My reasons are:

1. Light weight. It weighs only 2 lb. 8 oz. I don't need a 5 lb. drill, no matter how good it is.
2. It comes with 2 lithium-ion batteries. They are lighter than ni-cad batteries, and charge fast, so there doesn't have to be any wait time. If one battery runs out of juice, just switch to the other while the first one recharges. Some of the lower priced drills come with only...
