good drill but poor quality control
We bought two of these Makita refurbished drills not knowing what to expect. We bought them for the hammer action and the depth rod which is feature omitted on DeWalt, Milwaukee, and most Bosch hammer drills. Power is good though not as good as with the Milwaukee 2611 or the DeWalt DCD970 hammer drills and the Makita chucks tend to blow out in less than a year of use. Some of this could be due to how they are used but we do not have the problem with the Milwaukee and DeWalt drills.

Beware of the quick charging as the manual states that the batteries should have a 60 minute cool down interval after charging and should be left on the charger while...
