We have used Porter Cable sanders for over 20 years. The venerable 7336 has been a work horse over the years (we have 8 of them). Recently; some of 7336 sanders finally started to go downhill; after very hard service. We decided to upgrade to this 7346 model - We purchased 2 of these about a year ago and both have failed - bad power switch and a metal failure in the random orbit attachment point. We had to pull back into service the old 7336 sanders.
Don't Buy this model get the older design 7336. It lasts!
