Background:
I have recently gotten into wood working, I have been building simple things like tables, beds, and a dresser (that last one wasn't simple). When building a table for my wife I rented a Makita Belt Sander (I promised her a new table for thanksgiving, it was the day before thanksgiving). I wanted to bring the table top to a nice smooth surface without giving myself tennis elbow from a palm sander..
